Animal Spirit - Understanding Signs and Messages

Do you pay attention to the animals that show up in your dreams, meditations or even your waking world? Curious to what messages they might have for you - or how to unfold the meaning and message in the moment?  Ever wonder if you have your own personal animal spirit guide? Want to know how to incorporate their messages and energy into this crazy journey we call life. What about nature totems (those guides or beings who aren’t animals in the science world)?  Along with a great discussion, class will include a guided meditation to see what animal spirit or nature totem might be in your midst and also what message they have for you.  2  hour class.  Possible guest instructor with Angie that night! Behavioral Health Professional Certification Training

Looking for meaningful work? Our community needs individuals who want to make a difference in a child’s life. Children’s Behavioral Health Services are vital to Maine’s children with Intellectual Disabilities, Autism and Mental Health Disorders and their families. And the need in our area is great! As an integral part of the child’s treatment team, a Certified Behavioral Health Professional (BHP) has the opportunity to make an immediate impact while helping a child grow and develop to their full potential. We are excited to connect our community with this wonderful ONLINE training and certificate program. This training will prepare you for employment through local social services agencies and equip you to work with children who qualify for services. The program can be started at any time and finished at your own pace. You will complete 12 online modules then three 4-hour live (in-person or virtual) sessions. Once the modules are completed, you will receive free online blood borne pathogen training and Child and Adult First Aid & CPR certification. In just 40 hours, our free remote training program can get you certified and on your way to a life-changing profession. Must be a Maine resident, and at least 18 years old with a high school diploma (or equivalent) to become certified.

Certified Nurses Assistant-M The (CNA-M) Program is a standardized, 120-hour medication course approved by the Maine State Board of Nursing, which provides the basis of understanding needed for CNAs to administer medications accurately and safely. The course is designed to teach experienced CNAs how to administer non-injectable medications to patients under the direct supervision of a licensed registered nurse. Providing excellent patient care, excellent communication and interpersonal skills are a must to becoming a CNA-M.

Craig Coffman is an experienced piano and guitar instructor, professional pianist and music director.  He has over 30 years experience teaching piano privately. His piano and guitar seminars, offered through Community Colleges and Community Education Programs, have been attended by over 30,000 students throughout The United States, Kenya, South Africa Arizona and the Philippines. He has a degree in Sociology from Wesleyan University in Illinois (where he also studied piano) and a Master of Divinity degree from Western Seminary in Portland, Oregon.

In just a few hours, you can learn enough secrets of the trade to give you years of musical enjoyment. Learn to play piano the way professionals do-using chords.  Since this class is being held online with ZOOM you will be able to sit at your piano or keyboard at home and take this course with no pressure at all. Introduction to Oil Painting   4 Weeks  In Person 

Come and create “Your Masterpiece”!  Although this class is called an “Introduction to Oil Painting”, it would be flexible enough to accommodate students who have had some experience with oils and are looking to refine their skills as well. We will explore the specific and unique qualities of oil paints while also providing instruction to further skills with the principles of color theory, design and elements of art.

Learn one of music’s deepest mysteries: how to play songs without relying on music.  A very practical presentation of music theory that includes predicting chord progressions, learning from recordings, and transposing-all expressed in everyday language.  This is an ideal follow-up to the “Instant Piano” class and is open to anyone who has a basic understanding of chords on any instrument.  Expand your musical horizons, and free yourself from sheet-music dependence, and be the life of the party!  Prior experience with chords recommended.  Fee includes the online book, online follow-up lessons, a recording of the class and an optional monthly question and answer session.   Class is held online using zoom.
